Is there a chance my brain doesn’t do that on the first night because I know I’m with my man and he’d k!ll/d!e for me? Like I sleep like a rock every night no matter where we are. Especially bc we travel all over for his job 😅

My wife snores. Loudly. I don’t insist she sleep somewhere else. Instead I wear foam earplugs. Just sayin’.

The military is well known for doing this in combat situations.

huh, I wonder how that mechanism is governed when one has CPTSD?
My partner gets horrible night terrors most nights, and can pretty much wake up at the drop of a hat.

Question, sometimes when I sleep both of my eyes stay open. Like wide open like I'm dead. It frightens my partner and the kids, it's been an issue for most of my life, is there a scientific/evolutionary reason for this? 😅

yes! I sleep with one eye open all the time, I learned to wear a sleep mask to try to hold my eyes closed, so they don't dry out and get damaged.
