"The government, once again, is offering you concessions. Don't take them!" is a hard ass line, amazingly said! 🚩

I think your perspective about spontaneity here is a bit off (although not surprising as a result of your autonomist perspective). Best I can tell, this struggle is product of the student union - a coherent class (depending on your analysis of students) organization built on the work of various left organizers since ww2. Additionally, in many places it’s clear that LFI Jeunesse, Jeunes Communistes, NPA, etc militants have played important and in some cases leading roles

Before even the protestation of high school we had a date to protest in the street. The 17th October it is planned that we all go back in the street to form back the "gilets jaune" from 2018 who made macron extremely sacred. I do not believe we are getting a communist revolution a single bit tho. Anti communist is still very present in France we are not seen positively at all and the left wing party LFI who has the highest chance of winning against the fascist party RN in 2027 is already trying to shift the blame of our problems onto macron instead of saying it's capitalism

I’m living in France, my kid is in first year of Lycée 15 years old. All these kids here understand the hopelessness of the climate crisis , Gaza, billionaires dodging taxes, police brutality..it’s the fight of their lives against the looming fascism hovering over all of us

What do you believe we, as would be CCC members, can do to help move the struggle from institutionalised theatre to critique of the system and the relations that reproduce it? Asking as someone who wishes to do more than post online <3

People saying “it’s May ‘68 again”…May ‘68 was a failure. For the very same reasons I’m criticising in the video…

what surprises me is that the teachers aren’t joining in on the protests but they are also suffering from the same conditions and lack of resources. OR perhaps there is something else because when you interviews the students, some seem to be not on the same page and sayong stuff like “we are tired due to the hours and we want to keep our phones”. so yeah something isnt adding up, but french eduction system couls definitely use a reform instead of budget cuts

What are your your thoughts on the puerta del sol ocupation in Spain? To me it might be the most social revolutionary act in a while, since they ocupied the street to block any removal of squatters who were made such by suddenly rising rents
