@fesi777: Mopreme Shakur has opened up about a disturbing experience involving Suge Knight that he says contributed to his decision to distance himself from Death Row Records. In his 2026 memoir, This Thug’s Life, Tupac’s older brother recounts a trip to New York connected to Saturday Night Live. According to Mopreme’s account, Knight pressured him to strip down and step onto a balcony in freezing weather, leaving him humiliated in front of people around Death Row. Mopreme also reflects on how Tupac reacted after learning what had happened. He explains that he did not feel he could challenge Knight at that moment, describing the complicated position he was in while his brother was closely tied to Death Row and Knight remained one of the most powerful figures around Pac. The experience became part of a larger realization for Mopreme about the environment surrounding Death Row. In a 2026 interview with Broken Record, he explained that pressure began coming down on him in different ways and that he eventually decided to “gracefully bow out.” He said he still loved Tupac but felt his presence was no longer wanted or required. Mopreme’s memoir, published by Kensington in February 2026, is described as an insider account of the Shakur family, T.H.U.G. L.I.F.E. and his years alongside Tupac. The balcony incident is Mopreme’s personal recollection, so the details should be understood as his account of what happened rather than independently established facts. #2pac #tupac #tupacshakur #hiphopnews #sugeknight
