Ingredients: 1 cup red henna leaf powder, mine is from @themorrocanmethod 2 tbsp hibiscus powder 1 tbsp amla powder 2 tbsp soaked + blended fenugreek seeds Warm tea or water to mix Instructions: 1. Combine all powders and fenugreek paste in a **non-metal bowl. 2. Add warm tea slowly until it forms a thick, creamy paste (strain any chunks or you will be washing forever!!) 3. Cover and let it marinate 4-24 hours (I let my sit for 20 hours) for dye release. 4. Apply to clean hair, massage deeply into your scalp, cover, and leave on 2-4 hours (mine sat for 3) depending on desired depth of color. Wear clothes that you don't care about staining. 5. Rinse with water only..no shampoo, and definitely conditioner bc your hair will feel dry to the touch initially, and let the color deepen over 1-2 days. If you have grays be mindful and prepared for them to turn red. If your hair is chemically color treated, be prepared for the red hue to alter your color. The darker your hair, the more subtle the color change. Some folks add indigo to create brown and black color. There's something ancient about this ritual..the slow mixing, the earthy scent, the way it stains your hands and gifts your hair that red shimmer when sunlight hits.
