The problem is that some people who never followed basketball before have suddenly become fans and think they know everything about the game, when in reality, their knowledge only goes back to this season. Someone might win a game because of a bad refereeing decision, but you can’t win championships year after year that way. A’ja is a living legend.

all Indiana Fever fans are not MAGA, but clearly all MAGA sports fans are fans of the Fever, and more specifically Caitlin Clark. and for them this loss was particularly painful. Caitlin didn't play in last year's playoffs (when Stephanie White came within a hair's breath of taking Indiana to the finals). 2026 was Caitlin's most successful season, and they get bounced in the 1st round. of course they're going to blame the refs. of course they're gonna say it's a league-wide conspiracy. and they're going to have to live with this for a year.
