I am against the death penalty in general, but especially lethal injection, probably one of the worst methods we've developed. It goes wrong like this all the time, often being horrifically painful. The only reason it's popular is because it gives everyone else the illusion that there is a civil way to take a life. Genuinely, if you have the choice, take a firing squad.

If human life truly matters, then the United States should seriously reconsider and end capital punishment. Human rights should apply consistently—even when someone has committed a serious crime. A justice system should pursue accountability without making the state an instrument for taking life.
