I'll never understand all the drama around her. It's only logical to betray one person for billions of people. I can't even call her a morally gray character, she's a morally good, she did everything she could to save the humanity.

the concept of loving humanity so deeply that you would do the most horrific things to ensure people's survival. she's truly the character of all time, I'll never shut up about Eva Stratt

a lot of people put rhyland grace as the savior figure because he was "put to death" for the sake of humanity. ill offer this instead: stratt was the savior, she was politcally crucified and imprisoned for her choices, but she took on that burden and hate for humanity's sake. they'll hate her, but she saved them all. 😭

Eva is sorta portrayed as the "villain" in the movie I think because obviously what she did to grace was wrong but with the whole of life on earth at stake, anyone would have made the decisions she did

like im sick thinking about what she had to go through all that time and some people have the audacity to water her down to some cold heartless being like NOOOOOO

I can not understand how in the book she was seen as bad by the general public. For me she is not even morally grey, she did it to save humanity, soledad the trolley problem

I love her, I dislike the fact she HAD to send people to space because earth was dying. but, again it was literally the last hope that grace and the crew would survive and unfortunately grace was the only one left :'( they could never make me hate you Eva stratt

And she knew how history would see her, how she would be remembered. And she didn't care, she just wanted to save humanity, even if it meant sacrificing her own.

I don’t understand anyone who saw her as the villain, it was clear she was the hero in both the book + movie to me ngl

love her character but the idea of "put one person with ultimate power in charge and things will get done properly" .... is just dictatorship, and shouldn't be viewed as a realistic form of government even in an international crisis like this

In the books she’s way more nuanced and that’s why I love the books infinitely more. There was a reason the leaders of the world choose her.
