Why are we not listening to people who have experienced this before? Outdoor furniture becomes projectiles.

I would hide the furniture inside, at least there's no risk of it breaking the door

Closing the balcony doors/windows won’t help if the building collapses… so glad I don’t travel during hurricane season- that small glimpse of the ocean made me nervous AF

Shouldn't the chairs and table be brought inside?

Number 1: Move outside furniture and loose items indoors so they won't fly around breaking windows, damage property or people. Number 2: Secure your windows and doors to prevent further damage. Like this is 101 in any major storm let alone a hurricane... 🙃

All well and good until your storm surge is 12ft. and you are on the 10th floor and all the shutters don’t save you when the 1st floor is blown out by storm surge, the electrical gone, and the parking garage is half submerged & cars are floating as happened to my daughter in 2024. If they tell you to evacuate and you are on the beach.. listen up!!
