@happyhippiegeorgia: Parents literally have one of the hardest jobs in the world and that’s just not something I’m 100% sure I can or want to handle at this point in my life. And the best part of this mindset is, you can change it at any time! What you can’t change, is if you decide to have kids without being all for it, and then regret it for the rest of your life. Make the right decision and do what you want to do, not what society pressures you to do 💜 #childfree #childfreebychoice #kids #fyp
And also, WANTING a kid is not good enough reason to have one.

I cant understand parents not getting this. I wanted both my kids with every fiber of my being. I do not want and will not be having a third. People who really want a child should be the people having them

It’s so crazy because for me it’s always been a goal, so like I am just as sure that I want them as you are that you don’t. Like why do people care?????

Yeah genuinely I couldn't even imagine not having kids. I've wanted to be a mom as far back as I can remember. And even with all that I still insisted my husband and I take a few months once we thought we were ready and really think about if we were sure or if we were just having kids because it's what everyone expected of us. Having kids is hard work and I'd encourage everyone to be very sure before they go into it.

I yelled at my dog for getting in my bed with muddy paws. Like, aggressively yelled. That alone was enough for my friend who was otp and I to both be like yeahhhh this is why kids aren’t on my docket. At all.

exactly. I really love the life I have right now. I dont want that to change. there has never been a moment when I said I wish I had a kid cause this moment would be even better. there are moments every week where I say that im so glad i dont have kids. 🥰

Like my husband and I started making moves to be in a house and financially ready before I even THOUGHT about going off birth control, and I knew I wanted children. After one kid, I’m 1 and done because MY BODY isn’t compatible with pregnancy/postpartum but I don’t regret the kid. However I’m even more pro choice than I was before pregnancy

Thisssss! It’s a feeling I’ve always had that I’m following. I think too many people make decisions based on what they think, not how they feel. Kids, partners, jobs, etc. I go with what FEEELS right to me.

I always think worst case scenario, and for that for me that would be having a disabled child and having to care for them for the rest of both of our lives and me leaving this world not knowing who’s going to care for my own adult child or giving them siblings and leaving siblings to care for a disabled adult…. I know the odds are incredibly low, but why would I want to take the chance?

you could regret that sure that would suck for you and you alone, if you decide to have kids that you aren't 100% for that sucks for the kids and messes up their life. one is objectively worse
