I made my entire friend group move into WhatsApp and made channels for different topics that people have to opt into so that if they get annoyed by like the "funny guy" who posts 20 memes a day they can just not join the meme channel, or they can mute it or leave it without leaving the full group. Got me running the squad group chat like a Discord mod but at least everyone gets along. 😅
