First book is awful you just have to keep pushing yourself. I’m on the second book and it meh. I love spicy romance and only read books with spice so it’s been a little boring but it’s starting to pick up. I was told if you read fourth wing first you’ll hate acotar but if you read acotar first you’ll hate fourth wing..🤷♀️I loved fourth wing

i hadn’t picked up a book in 6 years bc of my abusive ex, then i read acotar and fell back in love with reading. 4 years later & still in love with reading. if you haven’t read throne of glass, i highly recommend it! 🫶🏼

Acotar/sarah j mass books in general and the empyrean series got me into the genre and made me love reading again! I’ve read hundreds of fantasy romance books since then and acotar is still in my top 3. Always going to be haters and not for everyone but it’s popular for a reason! Not a ton of spice (despite ppl saying it’s smut 🙄) but the spice is meaningful. The book will have you feeling things. If you read a lot (or even if you don’t), you’ll fly through this series. I hadn’t read in years before this and I read the whole series in like a week maybe 2 tops. Now I also read multiple books a week 😅 You’ll be wishing there were more books and not worried about how many there already are 🤭 Good balance between plot, romance, magic/world building, and found family. The second book is amazing, third too. If you like it, then you can read her other books and she makes connections between her worlds that are fun to catch. Also the memes people make on tt are so funny 😂

Read all 3 series in order first. Throne of glass, then acotar, then crescent city. I swear throne of glass is the best one of the three and will suck you into the universe

Book 1 barely has any spice but it picks up in each book following. Book 5 is hella spicy. The series is amazing and you should believe the hype. There are so many amazing, moving moments in the books that had me frustrated, crying, cheering, and grieving. It’s definitely worth the read.
