I hope this channel to demonstrate the perspectives of what Chinese people call ‘Localist Liberalism’, which I believe is the closest to my ideology, a belief in developmental state and gradual liberalization within the framework of traditional culture. As you can see in my video, I always emphasis on the weight of history, in which the cultural legacy of dynastic China, alongside Mao’s revolution and Deng Xiaoping’s economic reform coexist in a trilateral fashion. I believe that is also China’s current reality. Many channels on TikTok have presented China = Socialism and Western Counties = Capitalism, I believe that is inaccurate, and I hope my channel will ultimately offer a different perspective.

From the economic standpoint, just how much socialist is modern China? The market economy of the Soviet Union was totally different to capitalism, but Chinese economic model looks like just capitalism, with some tweaks.

China as a global player has brought a completely new form of efficient governance and has shown many of the problems with the US hegemonic system… I would like to see what you have to say abt internal Chinese issues though: things like 户口, retirement pensions or inequality in the countryside.
