also the empty messy bed and the windows being open is a great symbolism and is presented that way because johan tried to erase his existence or any trace of him his entire life as he was a nameless monster without any identity of his own he doesn't even believe he existed so the final scene shows that someone was here as there is a trace of someone existed here as johan isn't the nameless monster any more the monster who spent his whole life without an identity he finally has one and he isnt a nameless monster after all after he finally found a name and an identity of his own finally in the first time in the story there is a clue and a trace that johan indeed existed

I think Johan has two sides, the personality and the idea, but when characters like Richard Brown, Tenma, or Grimer meet him, they have a psychological struggle with themselves. 🌹
