I wanted to be a NICU nurse from the time I was FIVE years old. ❤️ Seriously. Five. I never had the “what do I want to be when I grow up?” phase. I knew. I went straight through school, graduated with my nursing degree at 22, and went to work in the NICU I had dreamed about. And I LOVED it. I loved those babies. I loved their families. I loved knowing that what I did mattered. But eventually, I was exhausted. I was working 80–100 hours a week, six or seven nights a week, 12–16 hour shifts between three hospitals just trying to pay the bills and put food on the table. I was tired of being tired. I wanted to go to the gym. I wanted to take care of myself. I wanted to travel. I wanted TIME. I wanted flexibility. I wanted to breathe. And never in a MILLION years did I think the answer would be entrepreneurship. I was shy. I wasn’t a salesperson. I didn’t have a business degree. I didn’t have some giant social media following. I was just willing to say YES and learn something new. That yes eventually allowed me to retire from nursing in my 30s—and I’ve now spent about 15 years building businesses in the online space. Today, I’m an entrepreneur, a travel agent, a mentor…and someone who gets to help other women see possibilities they may not even realize exist yet. Because maybe you love your career—but you’re burnt out. Maybe you’re a nurse working one too many shifts. Maybe you’re a mom who wants something that’s YOURS. Maybe you want to travel more. Maybe you need additional income. Or maybe you just have this little voice saying, “There has to be more than this.” I know that feeling. And I also know how dramatically your life can change when somebody shows you an opportunity you didn’t even know existed.
