A lot of who I am today was built long before I ever understood what it meant. I owe a debt of gratitude to my grandpa and my dad — men who came from a family rooted in ranching, military service, law enforcement, education, and a strong Texas tradition through UT, Texas A&M, and engineering. From hard work and discipline to loyalty, resilience, and knowing how to handle whatever life puts on your plate — with a little badass culture and family flavor from the kitchen mixed in — they gave me the foundation. I’m proud of where I come from, humbled by what they taught me, and grateful for the men who helped shape the man I am still becoming. I truly don’t know where I’d be today without them. And I’ll carry those roots with me wherever I go.
