I wonder what this means for me as a funeral arranger at a cemetery who wasn’t doing any of this 😭 also i guess i gave terrible advice; the lawn at our cemetery is super uneven so id tell the elderly folks its okay to stand on the marker for balance as long as you say thank you 😂 in my defense i cant have any broken hips on my watch. Am i screwed or am i screwed?

For me, when leaving a graveyard my rule is always go out the way you came in so that anything that might have walked with you can go back to their place (you wouldn’t pick up a friend and not take them back to their house after would you), shake as much dirt of your shoes/wipe your feet off after leaving so as not to take anything that you don’t purposefully mean to, and take a different route home then you did to get there.

I always bring dimes because I love to give spirits silver. Milk, honey, or alcohol for offerings. Red string wrapped around my hands. I never bring my phone, mirror, or anything that could trap spirits.

My grandpa's neighbor is literally a graveyard with no gate or entrance...we spent summers hanging out with them over there just saying hey since it's an older cemetery and no one else really visits but the lawn guys
