@mayorjerrydyer: What a meaningful day in Armenia. Today, I had the opportunity to visit Khor Virap Monastery and go down into the pit where St. Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned for 13 years. He was eventually brought out to pray over King Tiridates, who was healed, and Armenia would go on to become the first nation to officially adopt Christianity. Standing in a place with such deep significance to the Armenian people, while looking across at the majestic Mount Ararat, traditionally believed to be where Noah’s Ark came to rest, was truly a powerful and moving experience. To see this history with my own eyes is something I’ll never forget.
