To everyone with a voice, to everyone with the power to do something for women in Iraq and contribute to change: Please, let my voice reach women's rights organizations. Imagine being born into a life that feels like a prison. Imagine being taught that your entire existence must revolve around a husband and child—that your worth is measured by how well you please them, how silently you endure the unbearable, and how much of yourselves you are willing to sacrifice. And then, the very child to whom you have dedicated your life can be taken from you. In my country, women have been given only a tiny space to live as human beings. We are expected to be mothers, wives, and caregivers before we are allowed to be individuals with our own dreams, choices, voices, and lives. And now, even motherhood itself can be taken from us. How much more must women lose before the world listens to us? Please, hear our voices. Please, help us be seen. Please, do not let Iraqi women continue to hide behind laws, traditions, and systems that were never built to protect them.

@𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘴:Hello, how are you? I am from Iraq, a girl. I want a request from you. We, the girls of Iraq, need you. I want you to publish a video about the Jaafari law, because our lives are in danger. We ask for your contribution so that our voice can be heard by stopping the Jaafari law and abolishing it. Please help. This law takes our children from us, and you know what it means to take children from their mothers. We ask for your help and publish a video in which you talk about this law. Our lives are in danger. We ask for your contribution so that our voice reaches the minister and they abolish the Jaafari law. I hope that you will stand alongside the girls of Iraq.
