@epcsar: Winter had arrived on Pikes Peak! Yesterday, we responded to the summit of Pikes Peak for a stranded hiker. The last few days have brought storms to the mountain, and we could not have accessed the summit safely without our friends at @Pikes Peak America’s Mountain. Winter has come to the mountains, and if you have not already begun packing accordingly, let this be your sign. Know your limits and skill level, especially above treeline. Check the weather and, most importantly, turn around if the conditions and/or weather are not favorable. Winter conditions in the mountains can be unforgiving and small mistakes often add up quickly. Stay safe out there.
