They did that idea better with the episode where Arnold thinks he's being invited to that adult woman's house for a date and then her boyfriend is there. Was she a substitute teacher or something? I can't remember, its been 30 years.

I think Cool Jerk still does a good job at tackling grooming even if it wasn’t the sexual kind, and it’s really sweet that Gerald stayed looking out for Arnold even though he insulted him, it’s a good message

Completely understand them cutting that but there's a part of me that would've loved to see something like that addressed. Something bad happened to me around that age with an adult woman and it would've been an enormous comfort to see that reflected in a safe way in a show like this. Ultimately I'm okay (thank you therapy) and I don't think the show should've kept it if they weren't 100% sure on how to handle it appropriately. But I do think this show in particular could've handled it correctly

I know this is going to sound weird but I kind of wish that more shows would lean into stuff like that with women because I feel like a lot of the time the only time a character is portrayed as predatory or creepy it's a dude and then it makes it harder for young people who are being victimized by women to know what to look out for if that makes sense

Anyone remember seeimg Suzie in another apartment in that episode where Mr Hyunh becomes a country singer? its right after where he leaves his job and is walking home and he turns a corner and everyone is asking for an autograph and she's outside a window there that isnt the boarding house

I would kind of see her as like a third mom to Arnold or maybe they would have Arnold have a crush on her with this very uncomfortable age gap like even though she know that he likes her, but she plays along with it
