My Mexican restaurant spends over $15,000 a year just on free chips & salsa for our guests. When we opened 11 years ago, our cost for the year was around $9,000. And that’s JUST for chips and salsa. Not to mention everything else going up - Rent, CAM charges, our gas water and electric are combined and has gone up $600 monthly, steak is almost $4 more per pound than what we were paying 6 years ago, etc etc. We’re absolutely on the struggle bus. Lollll 😭
