I agree with the firing squad. A .22 works just fine and is quicker. They really need to streamline the process though. Too many years from sentence to it being carried out. It’s a waste of taxpayer money.

My only beef with the concept is how long and drawn out it is. It takes a massive toll on the tax payer and especially the loved ones of the victims who have to go through numerous proceedings to finally see justice after decades of waiting for the sentence to be carried out. I do agree that we need an appeal though to ensure that the punishment fits the crime and to ensure things weren’t mismanaged somehow but once that’s done, just carry out the sentence and be done

Oddly enough, I've found myself waivering as well. I was always staunchly against it but sometimes I kinda think they deserve it but I worry about the staff at the prison carrying it out. It changes you, ending someone else's life. Even if it's deserved or just your job. I think it's past time time to do away with lethal injection though. If you're going to do it firing squad is the quickest, most humane way IMO.
