AceLexic :
I loved Digger. Im genuinely confused how people don't see the complex themes and layers.

Is Dakota Johnson ever good in anything?

In verity’s defense, the book was also awful. So maybe it just wanted to be an accurate adaptation?

To be fair, the book was also terrible.

It feels like that’s Dakota Johnson’s character in every movie she’s in.

I'm confused at how divisive Digger is. I agree with everyone's criticisms, but like...I feel like they're not so bad as to deserve it a 50%. like a 70% makes sense, but 5/10? there's a LOT to like about this movie that I feel like should propel it to at least being significantly better than Verity.

I had no interest in Digger until today and saw it anyway. I loved it. It was unique and funny and interesting. 4.5/5 for me. To each their own.

“It mistakes volume for depth.” What a beautifully worded phrasing.

Digger is so good; it is something we haven't experienced in the cinema for a long time. It is a new kind of movie, but so well done. Tom Cruise must win his Oscar; he deserves it.

Isn't that how Dakota Johnson always comes across in her performances?

Just got out of the theater for Digger and as someone who’s currently getting their master’s degree in Global Sustainability I was floored. I loved it.

Mind you Verity is considered “her best work” by her fans and I was floored at how bad it was; arguably, Anne and Josh did great but Dakota (who led the entire thing) was dull and lifeless
