to add to the real stupidity--the guy running for the head of education in CA says he will NOT re-instate SAT tests for college entrance EVEN THO profs at colleges say that incoming students R INCREDIBLY math & reading DEFICIENT...this is school districts PASSING students so as to b "culturally" fair 🥴🤯

I've taught my teenage daughter cursive, analog time, how to write a check and to balance a checking account, her school doesn't give spelling tests so I do. She has an app to help her with her vocabulary. And I'm teaching her ASL. She knows how to check her oil and change a tire. She's in the kitchen with me all the time not to mention household chores.

My grandkids have an analog clocks in their room, the eldest since 9 can read cursive and write it. This just blows my mind that this is a problem.

I’m teaching my daughter cursive I told her I will not read our Declaration of Independence and our amendments to her and making her a printed version. She will learn in it and write everything in cursive.

This is everywhere. I went to smoothie king yesterday and the bill was $2.17 , I gave the cashier cash, exact amount. She asked her coworker what to do. 😳 She then asked me for more money, and I said that’s not how the real world works, can I have $100.00 from you? 😂 I asked her what the problem was. She said the computer wants to round down for the penny obsoletion process. I said to tell to cash register that she got the extra 5¢ she asked for, she said I can just give you back your money. I said no, you can figure this out i promise. 💀 i said what is the computer asking for? She said $2.15 . I said give me 2¢ , then the💡 came on 🤦🏼♀️we are definitely doomed.

My daughter got yelled at for cursive writing she taught herself by her teacher. Momma went to school the next day my bay wrote in cursive

They can’t read the word so they don’t get any for the rest of their life! There are some days. I’m really glad that I’m 62 because I won’t be around for some of this stuff.
