We need Josh 6.4 contenttttt, Only thing about the 6.4’s is there’s really just a small group of guys that still even actually know anything about them vs people just reading off all their flaws from the internet, it’s like 1 out of every 50 6.4 owners know that only the late 07 early engines with first batch MAP 1 defected pistons ever had genuine cracking problems not related to regens (all were recalled) MAP 2-3-4 had problems with trucks getting stuck in a regen cycle that constantly dumped fuel into 7-8 cylinders which would wipe the engine out with diluted oil, cylinders, etc, and then at the time, spartan/H&S canned delete tunes were adding timing (19°+) and injecting fuel directly at the fuel bowl lip which mixed with spiking cylinder pressure, would also crack the pistons, lifters and cam failures aren’t all that common, it never fails to be from a lack of maintenance or people thinking T5 rotella is a “good” oil, the stock cam has a aggressive intake lobe angle which isn’t perfect, but will run a long time with good oil, the lack of iron in the factory cast heads have been a problem since the first 7.3 power stroke, but wasn’t much of a problem in the 6.0’s or 7.3’s compared to the 6.4 which made so much more heat with the compounds and regens, the fuel systems never had any problems that wasn’t self inflicted from people running their trucks out of fuel or running water in the trucks, That problem is with literally any modern diesel.. you didn’t mention the coolant cavitation problem that would let the water pump cavitate coolant in the front cover and eat through into the crankcase, and again, was caused by people neglecting their trucks/running coolant without ELC/additive. My 08 was deleted with less than 88,000 miles on it somewhere in 2009-2010, it ran up to 249k miles before the hp charger bent the shaft and decided it wanted no more spinnage, truck has a stock power tune on it and was always serviced by ford dealers, it’s got 0 blowby and no doubt it would run forever if I treated it to do so. Pretty much every 6.4 problem minus the cam/lifters, isn’t even the engines fault, it’s solely up to the owner and how well they maintained their trucks
