I loved Nihilux, I thought she was gonna be a 4 Star elation. There was so much they could’ve done with her being a manga author. I don’t like AHA’s design, we’ve seen off the shoulder so much it’s annoying atp. I personally thought (if aha was playable) that aha would have a pants and skirt mix of some sort. Along with an SP of Sampo being the emanator of elation or something

I think sampo is also a great example as to why hsr has been sucking with the sp thing. I like sps and think that they can help with developing old characters but hsr either A) gives sps to characters that don’t need it or don’t need further development, B) gives characters that could need an sp one but doesn’t develop them or C) doesn’t give any to characters that actually do. low key out of EVERY character that should’ve gotten an sp in Planarcadia sampo was the most deserving (and sparkle but at least she got one)

Honestly Sampo is the latest victim of one of the worst writing tropes in history: The Open Door Narrative. Basically, if you want to 'leave the door open' so you can do something with it later if you want to, you give them a lingering plot thread that you never resolve until you figure something out. For Sampo, it was his mask. They don't know what they are gonna do about that mask, but it's the thing that will be the 'proof' they were smart and had it planned all along. This causes fans to speculate and grow more and more eager with anticipation. The backfire, however, is that if you hold off on it long enough, people get bored of it at best, or pissed at being led on a wild goose chase they had no plan to resolve. Sampo's mask gets two references. Once in Belabog and again in Planarcadia. It's confusing to audiences who grow attached to the characters (I can't STAND Sampo but I feel for his fans) and the end result is unsatisfying.

there are a lot of flaws with your arguments, you can't exactly say that just because shes had little involvement in the story si far, she can't be Ana's vessel. The main thing is we haven't had her main story quest yet, that'll come in 4.7, and this is a recurring pattern with hsr's storylines. Them vagueposting is probably a way of keeping her actual plot line and story hidden until 4.7 comes out. so using this logic as an argument against nihilux doesn't hold up properly because we haven't received her patch yet.

I really despise how the game treats Argenti and Rappa, after their original quests I feel like they just get brought back for dumb reasons (I.e. Argenti only really getting brought back in story to be a boss or something)

Nihilux explained why she took so little importance in the story it’s because hooh limits her actions if she were to play a big role in the planarcadia story smth bad would have to happen so the good and bad is equal or smth like that(basically hooh is the aeon of equilibrium so technically for everything bad smth good has to happen and vice verse) but since oroboros isn’t playing by the rules and is ready to swallow the planet she loves most she has to step in to save the universe and defeat the aeon of voracity(from leaks the voracity and old aha have merged into the aeon of desire therefore creating a new path which is stealing the elation from nihilux so she has to deafest the aeon of desire so she can stop her elation going away from her and also her actions are limited because if she were to protect planarcadia fully by oroboros that would be turning away from elation and following the preservation so she basically can’t really do anything but create enough wishpowet and make the battle as epic and funny as possible so it doesn’t stray away from her path

Sampo being Aha would also develop Sparkle since she clearly knows about his identity and in return he's more than aware of it, masked fool who is just randomly fucking around with Aha and Aha just accepting it and going along because it's funny is a really interesting dynamic. Both got screwed so badly for the sake of a random new character that adds absolutely nothing outside ruining game's worldbuilding and lore.
