Yah I only trust Philips hue lights I’ve had them for years now indoor and outdoor and haven’t had any problems even if the internet go down.

any brand can do this, the biggest mistake people make is thinking they can just plug these things in and forget about them. I let just like a extension cord, they need to be inspected and or replaced every couple years, especially when out in the weather

I would contact them, you can replace that section. but now I'm gonna go check all mine. I actually put mine further out towards the fascia board tho.

two separate problems here I think, 1 the govee light shouldn't melt itself and should be water resistant but 2, how is that full of water under the soffit? that's the bigger problem
