@mavisho2: A Quiet Corner of Higashi Chaya We came to Higashi Chaya District expecting the famous old streets, wooden machiya houses and pretty lattice doors. But somehow, it was this little back lane that caught our eyes. No crowd. No posing. Just old wooden houses, fallen leaves, and sunlight filtering through the trees. Kanazawa has a funny way of making you slow down without actually telling you to.
