Metro has cell service, they added it over a decade ago and wifi is available throughout.

I’m going to DC for an 8th grade trip and flying vs riding a charter bus with a bunch of kids. Flying into DCA and the teacher said I should have flown to the other one. Annoyed that it will likely be $100 uber ride ugh.

this just made me angry about them removing the destination signs on the Metro all over again. also, we have cell phone reception in our subway.

That’s so odd because I live in DC and get service on my phone 99% of the time on the metro, but I was in New York last weekend and had zero cell service on the subway 😂 I was mostly on Manhattan so maybe that’s why!

they just changed all the DC Metro signage and it's far less user friendly. One of the biggest changes was removing the info about what direction the train is going.

They quite literally just made the switch to signage that is *less* helpful. It used to be much clearer re: direction, line, etc
