If you're in a dead end, slowly walk backwards, make sure he moves away far enough and wiat for his arms to go back up. A reminder that his aggro meter permanently becomes half filled once you look at him too many times and trigger near-hostile state. Just ensure you finish the sector as soon as you can (and prioritise walking backwards). You can reset creak by burning em

You can indicate his as i call it "non observing meter" by his hands, the lower the hands, the upper will be indicator and he will attack you, also it's reset(or idk) when you hit him with crusher or fire

Tips: if his hands aren't covering his face that likely means he's aggressive. Looking at him or getting h too close in his range will anger him causing him to attack more likely. Just stay out of his range and don't look at him for too long.
