Daylight savings is perfect for saving candles... I've lived in multiple latitudes and daylight savings sucks in some parts of the country but people in the most populated regions don't care about them. Most of my work involves other timezones completely and I just adapt my work to what is needed. Daylight savings is just additional aggravation. No one outside of capital cities likes it, tech hates it, I hate it, it is dumb. If you want to get up earlier in summer get up earlier in summer.

For me the only downside is when it’s Christmas light season and young kids needing to stay up extremely late to see the lights in the dark. Other than that I’m a yes for it

You can keep things open without changing the clock - which doesnt change anything. Its a fake change. If i can change the clock to say one day its 7pm and then the next day its 8pm at the exact same moment in the day… its fake. Stay up if u want, open up late if u want but leave the clock alone.

People trying to get kids to sleep in the humidity would disagree with you. Try living one week in our summer following daylight saving's time. I dare you to walk 1km to a school at 2pm abd then walk 1km back in January for a week.

we did it in 1988 , and again in 1993 or something , far nort and just north of brisbane refused to partisapate because it sux 😁👌
