Recipe ⏬ Asian-Style Crunchy Cabbage Salad Fresh, crunchy, tangy, and a little spicy—this cabbage salad is packed with flavor from garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, chilies, and sesame seeds. Ingredients Tools and special products I use and love for my videos are in my Amazon storefront — link in my bio. * 1 small cabbage, or ½ large cabbage, thinly julienned * 4-5 scallions, sliced * 1 red bell pepper, thinly julienned * 3–5 fresh hot chilies, thinly sliced, or chili flakes/gochugaru to taste * 5 - 6 garlic cloves, minced * 2 tbsp soy sauce * 1 tbsp vinegar * 2 tbsp avocado oil or another neutral oil * 1 tbsp sesame seeds * ½ tsp salt, or to taste Instructions 1. Thinly julienne the cabbage. Add ½ tsp salt, mix, and let sit for about 15 minutes. 2. Lightly squeeze out excess liquid if needed. 3. Add the red bell pepper, scallions, and chilies. 4. Add soy sauce and vinegar. 5. Place the minced garlic on top. 6. Add sesame seeds. 7. Heat the oil until very hot and carefully pour it over the garlic. 8. Mix well and adjust seasoning to taste. Serve: Chilled or at room temperature as a side dish with rice, grilled meat, chicken, or noodles.
