One thing about being in a relationship… you have to remember to have FUN with each other. 😂🤎 Life is already serious enough. Between work, bills, kids, responsibilities, and everything else we have going on, it’s so easy to get caught up in the routine of just doing life together that you forget to actually ENJOY each other. And sometimes keeping that spark alive has nothing to do with expensive dates, vacations, or grand romantic gestures. Sometimes it’s the random Nerf gun fight in the living room. The playful arguments over who’s washing the dishes. Dancing in the kitchen while dinner is cooking. Making a late-night snack run. Laughing at something that nobody else would find funny. A few little things to keep your relationship fun: 🤎 Never stop dating each other. Even if it’s just grabbing ice cream and sitting in the car talking for an hour. 🤎 Be spontaneous sometimes. Everything doesn’t need to be planned. Surprise each other with something silly, fun, or completely unexpected. 🤎 Find things you both enjoy. Play games, try new restaurants, work out together, cook something new, or find a hobby that belongs to just the two of you. 🤎 Keep flirting! I don’t care how long you’ve been together. Send that little text. Steal a kiss. Compliment each other. Make your person feel like you still have a crush on them. 🤎 Don’t lose the friendship. Talk about things other than responsibilities. Laugh together. Be weird together. Create inside jokes. Be each other’s favorite person to do absolutely nothing with. 🤎 Make room for playfulness. Every little disagreement doesn’t have to turn into something serious. Sometimes you can laugh, tease each other, and move on. And when something really does need to be addressed, give it the attention it deserves. Because at the end of the day, you don’t want a relationship where all you do is pay bills together, discuss responsibilities, and figure out what’s for dinner. You want somebody you can build a life with AND somebody you can enjoy that life with. Somebody you can have the serious conversations with, but also somebody you can act completely ridiculous with and not feel judged. Don’t get so caught up in maintaining a relationship that you forget to actually have fun being in it. Keep dating. Keep flirting. Keep laughing.
