I was talking to a guy and his mom called him babe all the time....he ended up calling me babe & I thought it was cute until I met his mom and she wpuld be like "can you hand me ___ babe"...or "what are you making for dinner babe" .... I was like oooh thats weeeird. So towards me it wasnt an term of endearment it was habbit.
