Hahaha 😆 😂 😆 stop ✋🏽 it 🤣 😂 Last month at a New Jersey stop on Sheeran's Loop Tour, Macklemore performed his song "Hind's Hall" and spoke out from the stage. Days later, he was off the tour. Macklemore says billionaire Robert Kraft, who owns Gillette Stadium, was behind it. It backfired right away. Every other opening act on the tour quit in solidarity, and Sheeran has been playing stadiums with no openers at all. Sheeran's resale market is in free fall. Tickets for one Atlanta show went for $19.49, well below face value, with hundreds still unsold. Philadelphia prices dropped 24% in a matter of days. Meanwhile, Macklemore booked his own headlining shows. Three arenas in Dublin, Paris, and London, with all proceeds going to the very cause he got kicked off the tour for. He says they sold out immediately. Sheeran now says it wasn't his call and he's sorry for "making mistakes" in a widely-panned "apology" that made him the victim. For many it was too little, too late. Turns out, billionaires can buy a stadium. They can't buy an audience.
