My thing is this year. What if he was just a teacher, a highly spiritual teacher that when they killed him and saw how many people was talking about it, they decided to Weaponized him and make their own version their own story. The gospels have plenty of issues, and modern theological interpretations from the church invite many more, but your argument is built on tenuous ground that I think does not sufficiently consider the region’s history with Rome. Specifically, if it’s not true that Jesus was seen as a revolutionary and a real threat by the local authorities then the argument falls apart. I think it’s a more common take amongst non-secular biblical scholars that Jesus, even the textual Jesus, historicity aside, was trying to dissuade people from rebellion against Rome, and convince them that the Messiah would *not* be a political and military leader like Judas Maccabeus, operating under the (probably correct) assumption that it would result in untold death and destruction.
