@browardcountypet: 🚨🚨10/6 DEADLINE 🚨🚨 BROWARD ANIMAL CARE, FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA ‼️❤️‍🩹 URGENT MEDICAL RESCUE Needed for Sickly Kitten "Joey" #A2478876) ❤️‍🩹‼️ Meet Joey! (A2478876) 3-Months-Old | 1 Pound Little Joey originally came to us as part of a large, orphaned litter. He was the runt of them all and has proven to be such a fighter. He is still only a mere one pound at 3-months-old, and after a valiant effort from his foster parent, we have unfortunately run out of options for him here. Joey appears to have an esophageal disorder - despite any amount or type of food given, he regurgitates almost everything 😔 He is ravenous, playful, and spritely, but he is sadly withering away without proper diagnostics and treatment. Joey requires further imaging and a barium swallow to fully diagnose what underlying issues are causing him such distress, but we do not have the means to complete this testing at the shelter. ***Joey must receive commitment from a transfer partner and be picked up for immediate medical care by Tuesday, 10/6. Should his condition decline further before then, humane euthanasia may be performed.*** For more information about transferring Joey, please contact us at: [email protected]
