Your intentions a good with this post, and yes that’s how it should be. Unfortunately, it’s just not that way when you’re in your 50’s and dating. Especially for men who’ve done the work, learned from our past errors and finally become the men we should have always been. We’re the ones that show up calm, stable, with patience, strength, and character, and then get cast aside. This is not a complaint because I’m not a victim of anything but my own past mistakes that cost me my marriage. Just stating the reality of dating for men in their 50’s.

Sweetie, I know what you mean. Experiencing new things does tend to awaken one's adventurous side to enjoy life a little more and enough yearning to continue to seek out new experiences. It also causes one to reflect on the past and compare the old, to the new. As for my age? 62, I'll be 63 in Dec. I'm told I don't look it, I know I don't act it, but there are days when I definitely feel it.
