The Lindsay Clancy update we’ve all been waiting for.. After Lindsay’s trial ended in a hung jury and we had all that drama about the holdout juror.. she’s just been back in court Kevin Reddington in court pointed out what many people have been saying from day one in this case.. ‘this entire case is based on speculation. Where is the actual evidence that she committed this crime?’ He called the investigation ‘horrific and ridiculous’. He pointed out the fact that Lindsay did have false memories. She recalled the screen being cut.. when in actual fact the screen was not cut. He also stated there’s no evidence that the cup on the bedside table even had any crushed up medication in. The big bombshell was when he acknowledged the TIMEFRAME does not match He said she did not have enough time to commit the crime and he stated quote ‘the timeline is ridiculous’ The prosecution argue that they presented numerous pieces of evidence showing Lindsay was in a healthy mental state at the time and that she had a motive. They argue that they met the burden of proof. However, factually they didn’t, hence the mistrial. We still don’t know what’s going to happen - are Lindsay’s criminal charges going to remain the same? Will they downgrade them? Will she even be retried at all? Interestingly Kevin has said he’s not available for a retrial until after June next year - which.. people have pointed out is after Judge William Sullivan’s mandatory retirement date. s he doing this tactically so we get a new judge?
