You talk about Republicans and no state taxes however it’s your county officials Harris County is a Democratic county or city Houston and our property taxes were just raised by approximately $160-$200 depending on the value of the home however again it is a democratic run city

I sold my house in Tanglewood in June. I'm now renting signed a 2-year contract. the property tax increase is now the responsibility of somebody else 😁

I’d rather have a state income tax with smaller prop taxes. You work your entire life to pay off your mortgage so you can retire. But how can we afford to retire when we pay $1500 a month just in taxes and insurance?

Yep, we lived in our house 10 years and our payment from the time that we originally purchased has gone up about $500 mostly due to taxes since then.

That's the school district tax. Abbot and Hijinosa talk about. The property tax that the Commissioners' Court is responsible for is something the state has no say. The members of that court are County Judge (not judicial judge) and 4 Commissioners.

Gina wants to overhaul the school system in Texas. My highest part of my taxes is the school taxes. You think it’s not going to skyrocket with her policies? They would continue to increase property taxes and give you a state income tax. She voted to raise taxes 40 times! No one wants to tell that story. 🙄
