@mothershipsg: The Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link service between Singapore and Johor Bahru, Malaysia, aims to start operations before Hari Raya next year, said Transport Minister Jeffrey Siow. "The plan was for safety certification and licensing to have been completed before the end of this year, but it was not to be," Siow said, following news that the RTS Link is expected to start in February 2027. "On our part, my colleagues at LTA have worked hard to make sure our station is ready for the start of cross-border train services." According to LTA, infrastructure works in both Singapore and Malaysia are "substantially complete". Passenger service can only commence after the RTSO, the company operating the RTS Link, obtains safety certification from an independent safety assessor and regulatory approvals.
