This is truly the most painful lesson.. especially after spending your youth with someone, only for them to suddenly leave you and become a completely different person from that moment on!!!! Cold, incapable of empathy and so mean. In the relationship, they were the most empathetic, thoughtful and kind person. It’s like the mask fell off and you never truly knew them. Scary asf!!!
