I’v worked 20+ years as n the NICU and now work as an Infusion RN. But I think putting in an IV for that purpose clearly goes against nursing ethics, although one could argue that a nurse putting an IV in an actual vein with as few taxis as possible is minimizing the person’s stress, and pain in the end
