@anchoredxaligned: I definitely made starting UGC more complicated than it needed to be 😂 I started knowing basically nothing, made a version one and figured it out as I went. $1,500+ later, my biggest advice if you want to try UGC is to stop researching long enough to actually start. You do not need a huge following. You do not need the perfect portfolio. And you definitely do not need to know everything before you apply for your first opportunity. Make a few samples.
