A school notification appeared: STUDENT UNACCOUNTED FOR NAME: JOSH My stomach dropped. My friend looked at my phone. “That’s you.” “I know.” Then another notification appeared. LOCATION: CLASSROOM 214 I had never been in Classroom 214. But my teacher suddenly looked terrified. She whispered: “That’s where the old fire started.” ⸻ The principal finally got the doors open. Everyone started backing away from the school. But I couldn’t move. Because through the glass… I could see someone standing at the end of the hallway. It was me. Same clothes. Same backpack. Same face. He slowly raised his hand… And waved. ⸻ My phone buzzed again. This time, it wasn’t a school notification. It was a text from an unknown number. “Don’t let them take you back inside.” I typed: “Who is this?” The reply came instantly. “You.” Then another message: “I’m the one who got out last time.” ⸻ Suddenly… The fire alarm started again. Three times. Everyone froze. My teacher looked at me. Then whispered: “We have to get you away from the school.” We started running. But before I could reach the parking lot… Every phone around me received the same alert. EVACUATION FAILED. Then: RETURN ONE STUDENT TO CLASSROOM 214. Underneath it was my name.
