@wisdombyary: My beautiful brothers & sisters in Christ Jesus… have you ever loved a song so much you stopped listening to what it was saying? 🤍 I kissed my husband goodbye outside our Florida home, laughed with Kiki, and climbed into the car with the girls. We were heading to lunch. I wasn’t expecting an uncomfortable conversation… or realizing I needed it too.. The music started. A familiar beat. Memories from high school. Everybody getting comfortable.. Then Suki leaned toward me. “My spirit doesn’t really feel right listening to this.” I tried to reassure her. But sometimes we’re so quick to say “you’re fine” that we miss someone asking us to listen. Have you ever stayed quiet because you didn’t want to ruin the mood? Smiled along while your conscience was asking you to pause? Megan finally turned it off! And underneath Kiki’s jokes was a confession: “I’ve been wanting to change.” That’s the moment I want you to remember. Behind somebody’s loudest laugh might be a struggle they haven’t felt safe enough to share. 🤍 Philippians 4:8 tells us to dwell on what is true, pure, lovely and worthy of praise. That gives us something to consider beyond whether a song is popular: What thoughts am I rehearsing every time I sing these words? “But I will not be brought under the power of any.” 1 Corinthians 6:12, KJV ✝️ From American radio hits to the music filling our feeds, familiarity can make us stop paying attention. If certain lyrics keep drawing you toward anger, lust or contempt, you can choose differently. The portal and serpent in this film symbolize harmful influence taking hold. Scripture guides us toward discernment; these dramatic images don’t mean every secular song literally opens a portal!! When I took Kiki’s phone, I prayed, “Forgive US.” I needed grace too!! Then came their voices. Amen. Amen. Amen! ✝️🤍 Five women choosing to pray together instead of leaving one friend ashamed. The angel’s victory brings that hope to life on screen.. 🙏🏼 Brother… sister… you don’t need a perfect past to turn toward Jesus today!
