Rover suffered more than we initially realized. He could never return to his homeland because, in the CBT version, Hè Civilization was destroyed by the White Tower, one of the most powerful Threnodians. He lost countless people who had once fought alongside him, and losing the Sentinels those who stood beside him through everything must have felt like losing pieces of his own family, He tried to find a way to end the Lament, but when every path seemed to lead nowhere, erasing his memories became the only way to search for another solution. It wasn’t simply about forgetting everything or running away from his past. it was a painful decision to start over to find a way to end the chaos and prevent more people from suffering That’s why the line, “Heavy is the weight you have carried, Arbiter,” hits so much harder now. Every time the story reveals another piece of Rover’s past, it feels like we’re getting closer to understanding the burden he has been carrying all this time,I honestly can’t wait to discover more about his past and finally understand what really happened to Rover. There’s still so much about his story that we haven’t uncovered yet.

This one hits hard for me.🥲 Because the way I see it The Sentinels are just like my friends, by the time I notice something's wrong they're already into deep with their problems and one of my friends I will never see again because no one was there when he needed help; I've always wondered what would happen if I noticed and helped him with his problem.

this is just my thoughts but maybe in the future rover somehow lost his sanity or sum cuz of the burden and guilt he carried and then got eaten by theronodian and like fusing with the lament itself (somehow) and then the sentinels etc will try to save rover...

this, this is what i meant by rover doesn't qualify to be a savior not because I'm putting his effort down but because how he is portrayed and how he sees a savior must be someone that is always save everyone on the right time, while he is always late to save anything even in the savior own sense rover is not qualified as one also in the end rover just felt like a human that thinking he should carry every single thing in the world and the guilt for failing to save every single thing he should've saved, rover felt more like a human that forcing himself trying to become a savior when in reality he is not, rover is a human with savior complex that's what he is the longer we progress the more that we see rover is not a savior but a human that desperate to save something
