The same thing happened to me too. I had a friend in school who used to share my personal things with teachers just to entertain everyone and make them laugh. I also felt like she was a little jealous because whenever someone complimented me, she would take it in a different way and make comments about it. I couldn’t leave her because she was one of my closest friends. And I completely agree with you that these things shouldn’t happen between friends. It hurts so much, while the person doing it may not even realize how much it affects the other person. You can end up overthinking about it and feeling hurt even long after it happened.
