@skinwithdr.kim: Stretch marks are incredibly common and completely normal, but if you want to fade their appearance, some treatments have more evidence behind them than others. Treatments I’d skip: cocoa butter, almond oil, olive oil and vitamin E. Despite being popular moisturiser ingredients marketed for targeting stretch marks, there’s little to no evidence they prevent or significantly improve stretch marks. Here are the 3 best evidence based treatments for fading stretch marks: 1. Hyaluronic acid - some clinical studies have found improvements, particularly when used on early stretch marks. 2.Topical retinoids - tretinoin use for 6 months has shown benefit in improving the appearance of early stretch marks. Not safe during pregnancy. 3.Centella asiatica - has properties that promotes collagen production and skin repair, although the evidence for treating established stretch marks is more limited. One important thing: stretch marks are permanent changes in the skin, but their appearance can fade and treatments can help to make them less noticeable. Results also tend to be better when treatment is started early. bio oil DOES help THIN scars. i’m a burn survivor with over 80% of my body in 2nd and 3rd degree BURNS. bio oil actually does help, not a bunch obviously cause scars are forever HOWEVER, it does improve the appearance and breaks down the scar band with continued use.

In the past few years, I have tried a lot of products because of stretch marks. After using the LIOTIN gel I bought last month several times, it still has a little effect. I will stick to it for a period of time to see how it is.
