She knows that these hands bring kindness, comfort, food, and safety never fear. At Laos Giants, building trust is one of the most important parts of rehabilitation. We give our elephants time to understand that they are safe, that they don't have to be afraid, and that they can choose to come close when they want affection or companionship. 🌿 Trust helps elephants heal emotionally, become more confident, feel secure around people, and rediscover the gentle, playful side of life that suffering may have taken away from them. There is no forcing, no pressure, and no chains just patience, respect, care, and love. Watching this little one lean so close to her mahout is a reminder that healing isn't always something dramatic.
